is it safe to log in through my university portal?

Absolutely safe. This is the most secure method. The login window you see is directly provided by your university, not by us. We use a secure, standard protocol that allows you to prove your student status to us without ever sharing your actual password with NIU. We only receive a confirmation from your university that you are a valid student.

my university isn't listed in the portal login option. what should i do?

No problem! The instant portal login is currently available for a growing list of universities. If you don't see yours, please use our free email verification method, which is available to students worldwide. Simply enter your official university email address (e.g., .ac.uk, .edu.au, .edu) at checkout to receive your code.

what is the student id upload verification method? (coming soon)

This is a convenient option for students who may not have access to a university email or whose institution isn't yet on our portal list. You can upload a photo of your valid, government- or institution-issued student ID card alongside a selfie of yourself holding the ID. Our verification team will manually review your documents.

what happens if my request is rejected?

If your request is rejected, you will receive an email explaining the specific reason (e.g., "ID is expired," "Photo is blurry"). You can then correct the issue and submit a new verification request with new, clearer photos.

is my data safe when i upload my id and selfie?

Yes. The upload process is secure. Your documents are used solely for the purpose of verifying your student status and are handled in accordance with our privacy policy. We do not use them for any other purpose.
